Riedel, 9th generation, designed the first collection of varietal-specific stemware in the 1970s. Introduced in 1989, OVERTURE is Riedel&#39;s entry level series for customers who appreciate good quality, reasonably priced wine and glassware. Overture is a non-varietal specific collection of ten lead-free glasses, which will increase the owner&#39;s drinking pleasure of wine, beer and spirits. The Overture Magnum is Riedel&#39;s most versatile glass. As a result, it is used nationally in wine shows and wine judging. This new shape was developed to narrow the gap between the Ouverture Red Wine glass and the bigger shapes in the Vinum series. The generous size of the bowl helps to release wine&#39;s aromas, and is appropriate for all the classic red grape varieties. On the palate, the glass is designed to emphasise fruit and balance tannins. Ouverture is produced in non-lead crystal, machine-made in Bavaria, Germany. All Riedel glasses are dishwasher safe.
